Electric kettle is a small electrical appliance that we use every day. 1. Find the cause of the electric kettle leaking
Look at the power switch first, and if the power switch is good, look at the heat preservation switch. First, see if the bimetal spring is pressing against the switch contact lever, if it is too tight, bend it with tweezers. If the spacing between the bimetal strip and the switch lever is correct, remove the switch box for inspection.
2. Check whether the leakage is due to contact problems
Check whether the electric heating tube is dirty, and check whether the base and the power connector bracket of the kettle body are in contact. If the former, you can scrape it lightly with a knife and then sand it with fine sandpaper. In the latter case, the oxide layer and dirt of the contact piece of the plug socket and the contact can be removed first, and then the shape is corrected so that the contact between the two is in close contact.
3. Check whether the water leakage is the problem of the temperature sensor
Next, see if the electric kettle reset switch fails. The main reason is that the hot plate is seriously deformed or the action of the switch link is blocked. If the former, the lobed uvula temperature sensor can be re-bent so that it can push the switch connection for normal movement. If the latter is the latter, the obstruction or foreign body must be found, and it is generally possible to return to normal simply by removing the foreign body and correcting the position.
4. Check if the leak is a plumbing problem
Look at the indicator light, if the indicator light is on, it means that the power supply has been added to the indicator light circuit, the electric heating tube or its connection part is faulty, and the common electric heating tube is damaged and has poor contact. Remove the electric heating tube and measure the resistance value to judge. Poor contact is mainly due to the serious corrosion or deformation of the contact springs of the power plug components. The switch box can be removed for cleaning and maintenance, and those that are seriously damaged should be replaced with new ones.
